The following program initiatives are currently in development.  Even though we have not fully developed all of these program components, as our resources and partnerships grow, our vision will be fulfilled.   We welcome your inquiries and support regarding any of them.

Program Initiatives

Each year the Council hosts it’s annual Intertribal Gathering and Youth Powwow.  This event is a celebration of the Native American traditions of the Americas, brings our diverse community together, and invites youth and their families to join in.

We are developing resources which will enable us to offer a variety of workshops, courses, and special events that share traditional Native American culture, art, crafts, and knowledge.

Cultural Enrichment Services

We hope to offer a variety of educational services to Native American students and their families throughout Santa Cruz County.  These will include an educational resource center, student academic support, school speakers, cultural awareness training, and educational advocacy support.

Educational Advocacy Services

We make every effort to collaborate with all Native American tribes, organizations, and individuals in our region, and promote collaborative efforts to better identify and serve the Native American families here.  We also reach out to the non-native community in order to promote greater understanding and support.
