For many millennia some of our ancestors kept a record of the passage of time on buffalo robes. They noted the seasons and important events. The robes were used as a guide to pass on knowledge from generation to generation by skilled storytellers. |

Upcoming Regional Events
Ø SCIC is participating as part of the United People of the Land on a weekly basis with the Pajaro Valley Ohlone Indian Council and the City of Watsonville, for access to land dedicated to Native American cultural and educational activities. Weekly on Wednesdays, 6:00PM, Watsonville, City Building. Contact us for more information. |
2010 SCIC Powwow was a success!We will begin planning our 2011 Intertribal Gathering soon. If you are interested in helping us put this event together, we welcome, corporate or personal donations, in-kind contributions, or volunteer assistance. We’d love to hear from you. |
